Should I drive if I have damaged Springs?
It is possible but we would advise against it. If you have a collapsed or damaged spring, this will create noise, sagging and affect alignment angles. Even though you can still operate the vehicle. You will have a very bumpy ride and it would also be difficult to steer if you found yourself in an emergency. The other downside is that bumps you will encounter can damage other parts of your vehicle.
Can I drive if I have damaged control arms?
You can but we would advise you to drive with caution. The purpose of control arms is to allow the suspension to pivot on bushings for articulation of the arms as they move when the vehicle is being operated. They are connected to the frame of the vehicle and house the ball joints. Control arms can often be damaged when you drive over a pothole or you are involved in an accident. If you have bent control arms this can affect your car’s overall alignment, this can cause major issues with the handling and heavily impact the tyre wear.
